The Cleanery

This review will be updated after receiving our garments back, but I was blown away by the customer service that I decided to write one right away. We dropped off my wife’s wedding dress for preservation and several of my suits, ties and shirts for dry cleaning. This was my first time as a customer. Sheila was so helpful and thorough, priced and quoted the dress quickly and fairly. She clearly knows garment care inside and out. She was quick—I was in and out in 15 minutes. I needed my suits and the dress on a quicker timeline and they were able to schedule their pickup sooner. As a new customer they gave me a discount on and a small gift packet with candy and coupons. A small courtesy, but a rare one. Look nowhere else in Albuquerque for professional, reasonable, and kind garment care. Update, Dry Cleaning: Suits and ties came back clean, with a few stains lifted, and nicely pressed. Ties were wrinkle free and colors were vibrant after being cleaned. Dry cleaning order with the new customer discount cost much less than I anticipated!!

Quality service and cleaning. However, expensive and they charged me extra for one of my suits because of the brand???? This was not explained to me when I dropped them off and in fact, he couldn’t even tell me the price for the cleaning when I asked, which was annoying as well. He said I’d get a text with the invoice once they were processed. I did, and the text and tracking on the website was a nice to have feature, but not necessary (i.e. don’t need to pay extra for that). I prefer to know the cost of something before I sign up. I get it if they end up needing to do extra cleaning on a garment, it provide me at least the standard cost and potential extras if needed. There are no listed prices in the store front whatsoever (unless I missed them, but if I did they are basically hiding). We had a decent coupon, so that’s the only reason I proceeded. Did not care for the check in process. Back to the up charge; there was no apparent difference in how it was cleaned. Does it really cost more to clean a suit with a particular brand name on it compared to another?!? To me just conveys a message that you either don’t take as good of care on my other suits or just have unnecessary ways to up charge for additional profit. The ironic thing is, I dropped off 3 suits which are all custom made through the same brand, but they only up charged 1 of the 3, so I lean towards the unnecessary up charge here. Probably won’t be back, as I don’t feel like I can trust a business with that kind of structure.

I'm very pleased with the service I received. They are very pleasant to work with and promptly finished my items, tuxedo and formal gown. This was my first time with them and they setup an account for me which included taking pictures of my items, tracking progress via text link and notification when ready to pick up. They are very clean and certainly worth the drive from Los Lunas. We will definitely be back.

The Cleanery is simply the best dry cleaner I have ever used. They are meticulous and treat every piece of clothing or bedding (such as a duvet or wool blanket) with exceptional care. Everything comes back looking like new. Their expertise, professionalism and customer care are just unmatched in my experience.

I just started a professional job and needed dry cleaning done for some clothes I had thrifted! The Cleanery exceeded my expectations. The staff is so friendly and made me feel very welcomed and appreciated! I was also gifted a welcome package and a sack to put in my clothed the next time I take them back, as well as a coupon for my bedspread! It took a reasonable amount of time to get my clothes back, and everything looks clean and pristine! The price is also very reasonable, about $12 a piece! I will definitely be returning!!!
